I had so many issues with my site that made me literally want to pull my hair out. I had more than one person suggest Jen as a developer and all I can really say is: WOW. Not only does she KNOW what she is doing, she is incredibly patient. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied and she is certain to show you variations of ideas/layouts/formats so you have an actual visual before you make your choice. Jen is not only well versed on how to put a functional site together, she is incredibly wise when it comes to layout and thinks outside the box: What can we do that will keep visitors around longer??? What can we do to decrease your bounce rate?? The best part is that Jen listens to your wishes, offers her feedback, and then gives you the opportunity to make your decision from there. She is brilliant, honest, and I wouldn’t suggest working with anyone else.

Jen has helped us multiple times over the past several months, from solving technical glitches to helping us improve our site speed, to communicating with our host to ensure that our site is running smoothly. In short, Jen is a lifesaver. There’s never been a question that she wasn’t able to answer for us in an understandable and approachable way. She is patient, knowledgeable, and has always been available when we need her. And she does it all with a sense of humor and a positive attitude. We’re so lucky to have Jen in our corner as our technical guru!

Last night I was in a bit of a panic, and needed some blog help. I’d Googled the HTML code, tried it, and it didn’t work. I also searched several tutorial topics from my WordPress theme providers and couldn’t find anything that would allow me to do what I wanted. I have known Jen Kehl for a while in the blog world and new she’d recently graduated from a program and launched her own business, so I IM’d her. Within minutes, she had an excellent idea and helped me to tweak it to be exactly what I needed to make my post look the way I wanted it to. Plus, she was friendly, totally affordable, didn’t make me feel stupid, and I’ve already sent her a list of things I need help with. Highly recommend Jen and Beyond Blog Design!

To say that I am not technically inclined is putting it mildly. Computer-speak is worse than Greek to me. I went to college, and I managed to find my way to Fraternity and Sorority parties by recognizing letters. It is Mandarin.
Sometimes helpful people who have knowledge have tried to assist me. Do you have Google analytics? Just find where it is located in your setting and paste this link here?? Aaaaaahhhhhh! No one hired me to be a blogger. I write, so I thought I could do it. I had no idea it would require all of this stuff. I hired someone to make my blog pretty and do things that I wanted it to, and they kind of did what I wanted. But I didn’t know enough to know what they didn’t do.
When I met Jen Kehl from Beyond Blog Design, she was offering free design lab time at a bloggers conference for contest winners. And I was one of the lucky ones. In just 20 minutes, she identified and fixed several critical things that were not working, in addition to answering all three questions that I showed up with (and in a way that I could understand them.) However, one of the problems with my blog was that the banner that was designed for me was not mobile phone adaptable, and my site was not mobile phone-friendly. My designer didn’t know how to fix it, so she just didn’t. This was not acceptable to Jen having a site that can be easily viewed on a mobile phone is important for keeping your customers engaged. She vowed to find an answer to my problem and fix it. Within a few days of returning home, she had done it, and for less than $30, my site is now mobile phone-friendly.
I am so grateful that she didn’t give up when another did. I was just a contest winner that she could have passed over. She never made a lot of money from our interaction, but she has treated me like a 5-star customer from the start. I have and will continue to shout her name from the rooftops to anyone who is looking for the best service possible.

When my blog started growing, I knew I wanted to switch from Blogger to WordPress, but didn’t have a clue where to start.
Every time I read about how simple and easy it is! Just follow these twenty-six tutorials my eyes would glaze over and I’d fall into a deep, restful sleep. To say I didn’t understand the jargon is putting it mildly. I thought a plug-in was an air freshener and HTML was some techno rap group from the Ukraine.
I just want to write, man. I want my blog to work and look pretty. Who has the time to learn code? Not this gal- I’m a very drunk busy lady.
Thank you, Jesus, for Jen Kehl- she listened to my wants and needs, made suggestions, and completely transformed my website. She has great advice and made smart recommendations at every turn. Add-ons and plug-ins I wouldn’t have even known about, to make my blog better, she did and explained why. She held my hand and made the process so easy.
Jen took care of every aspect of migration for me, and the transition was seamless. From start to finish, she did it with patience and a sense of humor. No question is too dumb and she’s very good at stifling laughter when I asked one.
Jen did in two days what would have taken me at least two months and several cursing, crying jags to even attempt on my own. I now have a completely unique site that I love!
The best part is her ongoing support and her 24/7 willingness to answer questions or fix bugs. Who does that? Jen does. I recommend her to everyone I know and would kiss her square on the mouth if not for that pesky restraining order.
